An Arduino is a microcontroller The board is open source. You can make your own version of an Arduino and sell it. I have several 2 or 3 are original Arduinos and a few are from Elegoo and came in kits. I just bought an Arduino 4 kit we will explore in it’s own post!
The Arduino board has various input/output pins where you can hook up lots of different stuff like sensors, motors servos and then make them operate by programming the board, telling it what you want it to do. You do this with the Arduino IDE. You can click this link and download the latest version of the IDE. The official Arduino code is a modified C/C++.
I have fooled around a little bit with the Arduino but am no expert so we will be learning together! I have several Arduino kits to build. I have an Arduino Robot Car Kit, An Arduino Arm Kit and a little kit in which we will actually build our own Arduino.
I am going to end this post and move on to the next one which will be the build your own Arduino. I am curious as to weather I will be able to use it in either the robot car or the arm!
