About

Hey Everyone: My name is Scott and this is my website and there is a YouTube channel of the same name. I am a 65 years old. I have been pretty much retired since I was sick with Covid in 2020. I got it pretty bad. I was in the hospital for 2 months and was on a ventilator for a week. Things still ain’t right and probably never will be. If I walk across a room too fast or go up the stairs too fast I get out of breath. I can go walk 2 miles and be ok but if I go a little too fast I get to breathing pretty hard. Well it is what it is, I guess!
I am married and have 4 daughters and 5 grandkids, 1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons. I spent most of my early younger years in the military. About 10 all together. My first enlistment was in the Marine Corps. I got out for a couple of years and then joined the Army. I spent 3 years in Germany and married one. 37 years just this month! I reenlisted, got sent to Ft. Hood and got to see the Middle East by way of Iraq in 1991. I got out in August of 91 and drove trucks until I got sick.
Once I got out of the hospital I decided I didn’t want to drive trucks anymore and am still on disability anyway. I have always been into electronics and have been wanting to to this site for years. I mean a lot of years! Now I have time to do it and that’s what I plan to do.
I worked at Texas Instruments for 6 months after I got out of the Army. I was soldering parts on circuit boards. I also worked for 6 months at IBM running a parts placement machine. These were temp jobs I also went to a 6 month electronics class during this time. It was very basic. I don’t even remember any projects we did. Other than that I am a hobbyist. I have been fooling around with this stuff off and on for years. Like the saying goes I know enough to be dangerous! Literally! We will be dealing with DC voltage. Low voltage 5 to 12 VDC mostly. Electronics can be dangerous. Always pay attention and watch what you are doing. If you are not sure don’t do it! That simple!
